Default Farming Afflicted?

Does anyone have a build with which to farm afflicted? Searching turned up nothing, and I can't seem to get passed the combination of their balanced grouping and the afflicted soul explosion on their death. If anyone has one, please post, I really want a plagueborn shield.

It's not going to happen solo, that's for sure. The only real way to mitagate damage is through healing and I don't think you can get away without at least two dedicated healers. The Sins remove Stances and the Mesmers and Necros remove enchantments. The Rangers Blind and Daze.

I would say e/a or a/e green solo build for them, I remembered killing a bunch of them during the construct farm. You need to bring SoH and cancel them after taking enough damage from soul explosion.

BTW, anyone know where can find the most concentrated afflicted?

Hmm, ill give it a whirl with my e/a.

Also, can anyone think of a place where only certain types of afflicted spawn, rather than mixed groups? It would be much easier to farm with them if enchant removal didnt have to be dealt with.

Farming afflicted is indeed possible, I've done it on many occasions with my MM. Albight it is slower, the drops are often decent, with lots of grapes and golds if you go solo.

All you have to do is find a small group to start your army, summon fleshy and go from there.

This works best with lower level afflicted.

Afflicted soul explosion as you may recall is no longer armor ignoring, just cold damage. Also, for what it's worth. I recently got learned that the SJ island afflicted (in hard mode) don't carry enchant removal with the exception of order of apostasy on the necros. Order of apostasy isn't a problem unless you are facing multiple warrior AND a necro. Kill necro fast and he doesn't use it it time, or let the order kill him sacrificing yourself then come back and clean up.
The level 27 hammer warrior in Minister Cho's Estate Mission drops afflicted gear as often as not but seems to tend towards afflicted hammers (go figure eh?). Perhaps the Zen Daijun explorable?
